Gluten-free food made with purpose in Costa Rica

At Pura Pasta we believe gluten-free food should be delicious, practical and trustworthy. We are a Costa Rican food brand created by Artesanos Sin Gluten SRL, with production developed at The Gluten Free Lab in Guanacaste.

Our mission is to create gluten-free products that bring back the pleasure of eating familiar foods — pasta, ravioli, lasagna, tortillas, empanadas and ready-to-use food solutions — without sacrificing flavor, texture or quality.

The lab

The Gluten Free Lab

The Gluten Free Lab is our specialized production and development laboratory for gluten-free foods, based in Guanacaste, Costa Rica. Every recipe is developed there and every batch is controlled to guarantee consistency, flavor and food safety.

The Pura Pasta brand is the public face of this work — the products you find in supermarkets, hotels and restaurants are born here, with artisanal care and professional process.

We combine artisanal care with structured production standards to create products that feel homemade while maintaining reliable quality from batch to batch.

Pura Pasta has grown from a specialized gluten-free food project into a developing Costa Rican brand with commercial presence and institutional validation.

The Gluten Free Lab was created to support consistent production of gluten-free foods with controlled processes and recipe development.

We iterated on our packaging formats to improve presentation, temperature protection, supermarket shelf performance and product handling.

Internal validation showed an approximate 15% increase in sales after packaging improvements and renewed supermarket negotiations.

The new packaging cut down on product damage, handling problems and product loss at retail.
